Laurence Yogoum, administrative assistant at the Jean-Félicien Gacha Foundation tells us about the importance of this project:
« Notebooks, textbooks, chalk, pencils and all school supplies stimulate children’s schooling and remain the foundation of learning and communication between pupils and teachers. The Jean-Félicien Gacha school in Manoré has around 120 pupils. For quality teaching, support in the form of teaching equipment remains essential. It enables the teaching staff to better prepare lessons and to rely on textbooks in order to pass on in-depth, high-quality teaching ».
The Foundation’s aim is to contribute to student attendance and motivation in the classroom, by collecting donations that will enable the children to concentrate on their schooling, with all the equipment they need for their intellectual development.
