Synergies communes : Fondation Jean-Félicien Gacha / Journée Internationale des Musées / ICOM

17 May - 01 August 2024

To mark International Museum Day 2024, organized by ICOM (International Council of Museums), the Jean-Félicien Gacha Foundation organized a round table on the theme of museums for education and research on Saturday May 18.

“The museum contributes to our education and well-being by promoting our tangible and intangible heritage,” said Anibel Pokam, curator of the Baham Museum, at the conference. She was accompanied by Armand Taizoumbé, a teacher and engineer in museology, and William Kuihane, head of cultural projects at the Jean-Félicien Gacha Foundation.

This round table underscores the Jean-Félicien Gacha Foundation’s commitment to ICOM’s values and to the new definition of a museum voted by the General Assembly in Prague in 2022.
